The 2012 Institutional Investor All-Asia Sales team survey results are based on responses from 2,430 buy-side analysts and money managers at some 870 firms that collectively manage approximately $1.57 trillion in Asia ex-Japan equity assets responded.
The 2012 Institutional Investor All-Asia Trading team survey results are based on responses from 1,560 buy-side analysts and money managers at some 710 firms that collectively manage some $1.35 trillion in Asia ex-Japan equity assets. The votes are weighted by a respondent's Asia ex-Japan equity assets under management and by the place awarded (first through fourth).
All-China Survey
The 2012 Institutional Investor All-China Research team survey results are based on responses from more than 2,040 investment professionals at 700 institutions managing an estimated $799 billion in Chinese equities.
The 2012 Institutional Investor All-Asia Sales team survey results are based on responsesof roughly 1,400 buy-side analysts and money managers at some 580 firms that collectively manage an estimated $703 billion in Chinese equity assets; roughly 69 percent of the people who cast votes in the research team survey, representing 83 percent of the participating buy-side institutions, answered our question about the best sales teams.
The 2012 Institutional Investor All-China Trading team survey results are based on responses from approximately 880 buy-side analysts and money managers at some 460 firms that collectively manage an estimated $660 billion in Chinese equity assets. Roughly 43 percent of the people who cast votes in the All-China research team survey, representing 65 percent of the participating buy-side institutions, answered our question about trading services.
The votes are weighted votes by a respondent's Chinese equity assets under management and by the place awarded (first through fourth).
All-Japan Survey
The 2012 Institutional Investor All-Japan Research team survey results are based on responses from nearly 1,000 individuals at some 320 of these institutions, responsible for managing an estimated $1 trillion in Japanese equities.
Asia Wall Street Journal Best on the Street Analyst Survey
The Asia's Best Analysts survey is based on a quantitative analysis of stock picks by more than 1,500 analysts at 129 firms in Asia, looking at the performance of their buys, holds and sells and comparing them with one another and with the market overall. The findings produce three top analysts each for 10 countries and territories and 21 market sectors to give investors a guide to which analysts had the most success picking winning stocks among the companies they cover.
