Through its Global Corporate and
Investment Banking business, Bank of America and its

Global Investment Banking
Bank of America covers a broad range

Institutions and Financial Sponsors client coverage groups in
place that are rapidly gaining market share.

Consumer and retail
Focused primarily on the European
Food, Beverage and Retail industries, the group offers a
full range of Corporate and Investment Banking products
and services, including M&A advisory services, the
provision and arrangement of bridge and acquisition
financing, debt capital raising (bank syndications, bonds
and private placements), as well as global treasury
management services, derivatives, structured finance and
other corporate banking products and services. In
addition, the group provides leveraged finance and
advisory services in financial sponsor transactions within
the Consumer & Retail sectors. It also works closely
with Bank of America’s U.S. Consumer and Retail team on a
wide range of trans–Atlantic debt and M&A
transactions.

Focused on the European banking
and insurance sectors, the Financial Institutions Group
offers a complete range of investment banking services
leveraging the strength of the global universal banking
platform. The group provides strategic advisory (M&A
and other advisory services), debt capital raising (fixed
income, syndicated finance and U.S. private placements),
global treasury management, global markets (structured tax
products, FX and interest rates) and credit products.
Recent group expansion has meant a move from traditional
issuer or liability–driven products, to strategic advisory
and investor–driven products in both equity derivatives
and debt.

Financial sponsors / leveraged
finance
The Financial Sponsors group
offers full corporate and investment banking services to a
select financial sponsor client base in Europe. The group
delivers the universal bank platform to clients in order
to provide a range of services from advisory to capital
raising for anything from acquisition financings, dividend
recapitalisations to straight refinancings. Senior
professionals are partnered with the bank’s U.S. and
European industry coverage groups. The group is committed
to building on the success and strength of the U.S.
platform to provide seamless solutions on a global scale
to the bank’s clients.

Global industrial
The General Industrial group
offers a full corporate and investment banking service to
the general industrial client base in Europe, delivering
the universal bank platform to provide thoughtful
solutions to clients including capital raising, advisory,
risk management and cash management services. Significant
integration with the U.S.– based Global Industrial platform
with sector expertise and focus including
automotive/transportation, aerospace and defence, basic
materials, chemicals, diversified and paper/forest
products to develop a robust cross–border dialogue and
leverage the strength of the bank’s U.S. platform and
product capabilities.

offers a full investment banking service to the
established and emerging telecommunications, broadcasting,
pay television, publishing and advertising sectors in
Europe. With a focus on advisory and capital raising, the

and the bank’s leading U.S. position.

Global Markets
products are central to the bank’s business in Europe. Through
close coordination with Global Investment
Banking, Bank of America is capitalising on its
product capabilities to methodically build its European
businesses into positions of leadership, capturing Leveraged
Finance opportunities and expanding M&A capabilities. The
bank is also building on its already strong Derivatives and
Risk Management platform that focuses on developing strategies
to deal with accounting issues, credit mitigation and
